Turtle Hatchery – Protecting Life, One Shell at a Time

We’ve released over 3,400 turtles by rescuing eggs from poachers. Hatchlings are safely released by boat on nearby beaches—helping protect marine life for future generations.

Turtle Hatchery

Long before we opened the restaurant, we committed to helping protect Nicaragua’s marine turtles. By purchasing eggs from local poachers, we give these vulnerable creatures a second chance. So far, we’ve proudly released over 3,400 baby turtles into the wild—an effort that continues to bring us joy and purpose.

Being on an island, we carefully transport the hatchlings by boat in large coolers to nearby, undeveloped beaches. There, we release them into the ocean with the hope that they’ll return someday to lay their own eggs, far from danger and overdevelopment.

Join us in this heartwarming and meaningful conservation effort—a unique experience that connects visitors to nature and supports local wildlife protection.
